Volunteer Program Empty Volunteer Program

Post  shawnvau178 Mon May 03, 2010 11:18 pm

Ok I have a question about this. I'm 17 and less than a year I turn 18 I want to sing up for this but it says you have to be 18. Is there a way that can be changed or make it so younger people can do this. I started my own group at a local hobby shop on my own and I get people to come play I even got the shop to buy cards to help with drafts. I can do all that is required for the volunteer program but my age. "cant speed time up lol"
-Thanks Shawn

this is not an official answer, but the rules are the rules. i am unsure whether or not Mike Girard will bend the rules in your favor.

When do you turn 18? being made a CZEV would be a nice birthday gift if you do have all the requirements to be a champion.

First of all, start doing what is required of a champion, with the exception of the reports themselves. That way, when you turn 18, you will be able to fill out a great application.

Send a mail to volunteers@cryptozoic.com with this question as well. Surely they could provide you with a little assistance, maybe even a copy of the CZEV Handbook (which is actually a great read for aspiring and seasoned volunteers). I personally don't think they will bend the rules, the 18 rule usually means that they might do stuff that people under 18 aren't allowed to do (not that we volunteers are beerguzzlers or anything)

I'm sure that you will be allowed the day you turn 18, this question alone shows how driven you are. Before that, I advise to do your best already and stand out from the crowd of youth.

I have a CZE number, but I too have this same issue with "Pending Assignment". Just sent my email about an hour ago.

Volunteer Program Empty How long pending application review?

Post  Plem45 Mon May 24, 2010 10:15 am

I have had my application pending for about 2 wks now, how long does it normally take? I got my CZE judge # in about 2 days after taking the test.

Thanks for the update Skey, I've had mine in but I already sent an e-mail, figured it was redundant to post about it. Can't wait to hear.
