Hello there.

It's quite not your problem but I thought I can get an advice here.
Since I don't play the MMO I've sold my LOOT card via eBay.
Everything went fine, I've got the payment so I've sent - on demand - the code from the scratch and I'm going to send the card in two days.

BUT!

Today I've been msgd that the code didn't work.
I would like to know if there's a way of checking if it has been really redeemed, or the information is fake.
If it was redeemed than I would like to know who (continent / realm) redeemed it.

Perhaps the buyer has done something wrong while redeeming the code, but I'm not able to check it.

Sounds impossible, but perhaps someone of you got simillar issues.

Best regs,
Greg

What I'd do is check to make sure both of you have gotten the right code. That you've copied the code down correctly, and that he has typed in his code correctly. You can ask him to make sure he is entering in the code correctly. He shouldn't try to enter it directly into the MMO, but go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/misc/promotion.html and enter the code in there, to retrieve the code he's supposed to put into the MMO. If he still is having troubles, or claim it doesn't work, you can ask him what realm he plays in, and enter in the code yourself to the web page. You don't need an account to enter a code, and when you enter the code, it will tell you if the code has been redeemed before, and to what realm. Even if it has been redeemed before, it will tell you what code to enter in the online MMO.

90% of cases like this that I've seen has been a typo while entering the code - that's probably what happened. Just double check it.

I've also had a good amount of cases, however, where I was certain that the code was correct, but the end user had trouble entering it on the page... It's because the way you enter them is not very intuitive: there are 5 boxes to enter 25 digits, but it's not 5 digits per box... you just have to click in the first box and keep typing until all 25 digits are entered.

Once you've verified both of those things, then the only thing left is either foul play or a bad code. I've never had that happen to me personally. The worst thing I've had happen is that the buyer claimed the purchase was invalid and did a chargeback after receiving the code. If you don't have proof that the physical card was delivered in this case, then you're screwed.
